One of the most insane Porsche cars has been revealed today in the shape of the 992 generation. This is generally the most powerful and quickest 911 to date. The new 911 Turbo S comes in two body styles, Coupe and Convertible. The thing that makes this car likeable is the subtle looks it has, it has the aggressive look but it’s not all in your face and the party piece of it having incredible performance figures blows you away instantly. As standard, it gets quad trapezoidal exhaust pipes with the twin oval exhaust pipes as an optional package. This is substantially a sportscar that can battle even the likes of supercars close to hypercar territory like the Lamborghini Huracan Performante.

This beast is powered by a 3.8-litre twin-turbocharged flat-six engine and it produces an insane 650 hp (447 kW) & 800 Nm of torque. Couple that much power with an 8-speed PDK transmission and a sophisticated four-wheel drive system, you get a 0-100 km/h sprint time of 2.7 seconds on the Coupe variant and 2.8 seconds on the convertible variant. Both the Coupe and Convertible have a top speed of 330 km/h.

To improve on handling, the 911 Turbo S track width has been widened and a new Porsche Active Suspension Management has been fitted to alter the way the car rides on the tarmac and gives the best handling possible. Not only does it have the advanced suspension, but it also comes with rear-wheel steering and Porsche’s Dynamic Chassis Control. It rides on 20-inch wheels wrapped in Pirelli tyres with the rear tyres being wider than the front tyres.

The interior features leather panels on the dash and carbon fibre trim on some of the parts in the interior to reduce weight and improve the styling. On the centre console, there is a 10.9-inch infotainment touchscreen you also get on the normal 911 Carrera S together with the digital instrument cluster. The price of the Coupe is expected to be around R3.5 million and the Convertible to cost more at R3.7 million which makes a lot of sense, to be honest, and is quite reasonable for this astonishing beast.
